The internship is the upstream end of how Pyramid builds federal IT talent — complementing our FedsForward partnership, the Nexus program, and the pairing-based delivery model we apply on every engagement.

Rebecca joined the Pyramid team responsible for designing and delivering an end-to-end ML/AI data pipeline on Google Cloud Platform — the data foundation under federal machine learning workloads.

The pipeline spans ingestion, orchestration, feature engineering, training, serving, and monitoring — all built to federal compliance standards. Interns contributed alongside senior engineers on production-bound components, gaining direct exposure to the architecture decisions, code quality standards, and operational patterns that define federal AI infrastructure.

Pyramid’s investment in the next generation of federal IT talent continues. The internship program runs annually, and partnerships like FedsForward extend Pyramid’s reach to candidates from regions, institutions, and backgrounds that have historically been under-recruited by the federal contracting industry.
